Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut has been announced, and it’s coming exclusively for the PS3. It’s slated for a early 2013 release date, and offers a bunch of new content. The Director’s Cut will have reworked controls, improved HD graphics, and more story content that will be added to the campaign. Swery 65, the nickname of the lead designer, has also promised DLC post-release.

Previously an Xbox 360 exclusive, Deadly Premonition was divisive to say the least. Some enjoyed the eccentric tale and the quirky characters, while some thought repetitive gameplay and clunky controls bogged the entire experience down.
