With the WiiU arriving sooner rather than later, Nintendo has decided that this would be the perfect time to cut down the price of an already cheap Wii console. A new $130 version will be available on October 28th, and will be bundled with Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort.
This version will be replacing the $150 Wii that is currently being sold, but I’m not sure if the cheaper bundle is necessarily better. The $150 Wii console had New Super Mario Bros. Wii bundled with it, and I’d much rather have that game than Wii Sports or Wii Sports Resort. New Super Mario Bros. Wii is a raucous good time, especially when you’re playing cooperatively with a bunch of friends. Regardless, for those who thought $150 was just a tad bit expensive, then Nintendo’s got you covered starting October 28th.
Unfortunately, price drops in other regions have not been announced yet, as this bundle will only be arriving in the United States currently.
