Bioware has announced the third installment in the Dragon Age franchise, and it’s titled Dragon Age III: Inquisition. The official announcement was through a blog post from executive producer Mark Darrah, although it didn’t offer much in terms of actual facts. Probably the biggest and most interesting detail from that post was that Bioware would be using the Frostbite 2 Engine in Dragon Age III. The Frostbite Engine was made by Battlefield developer DICE, and it’s mostly been utilized only in first person shooters with war torn environments. It’s definitely going to be interesting to see how Bioware uses the engine in a fantasy setting. Although a firm release date has not been revealed, Bioware is hoping for a late 2013 launch window.
