The final details of the WiiU have finally been announced.
Nintendo had a press conference today in New York where they released the major facts about the WiiU’s launch. It’s going to be hitting North American shores on November 18, 2012, and will come in 2 models: a basic model which will cost $299 and a deluxe model for $349.
The basic model will include a WiiU console, Game Pad controller, HDMI cable, AC adaptor, sensor bar, and 8GB of memory. The deluxe model will offer a Game Pad cradle, a Game Pad charging cable, a copy of NintendoLand, and 32GB of memory.
The biggest bomb that Nintendo dropped in terms of software was the announcement that Bayonetta 2 will be exclusive on WiiU, although no release date has been set. I was a huge fan of the first Bayonetta, so this definitely has piqued my interest, although that’s pretty much the only game in the WiiU library that has done that so far. Activision also announced that Black Ops 2 will be coming to WiiU as well. Other known quantities were discussed, such as New Super Mario Bros U. and NintendoLand as launch titles.
