ArmA II’s hugely popular mod, DayZ, is now becoming its full fledged game.  DayZ’s creator, Dean Hall, has announced that he will be working with Arma developer Bohemia Interactive to make the game.

I’m drawing some serious Half-Life and Counter-Strike parallels here.

Development on the mod will continue alongside with the development of the full game.  DayZ will supposedly follow the “Minecraft development model”, with the alpha version, which will continually be updated, being available for a cheap price.
