It’s almost impossible to keep a secret nowadays. Sony learned that the hard way when people who had access to the beta of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale did some digging. They found a treasure trove of unannounced content which includes new characters, items, and stages.
My astute observational skills tell me that this picture is a leak.
The most interesting aspect of any fighting game is the roster, so here is a list of the unannounced characters that were leaked.
- Dante (Devil May Cry)
- Evil Cole (inFamous)
- Nariko (Heavenly Sword)
- Raiden (Metal Gear Solid)
- Ratchet (Ratchet & Clank)
- Sackboy (LittleBigPlanet)
- Sir Daniel Fortesque (MediEvil)
- Spike (Ape Escape)
There were also a slew of new unannounced stages. Most of these are from games that one would expect such as Killzone and Uncharted, but there also some from lesser-known games such as Ape Escape and LocoRoco.
As most would expect, Sony gave a big fat “no comment” when asked about these leaks and rumors. With or without Sony’s comment, all of the leaks seem genuine, as there has been a host of screenshots revealing the new content. People can look forward to using these fighters and more when PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale hits later this fall.
