Frank Gibeau, EA Labels President revealed that Mirror’s Edge 2 is on the list of things to do for EA. Gibeau stated that it’s a matter of how to bring back the beloved protagonist Faith, and when to do so.
“We have nothing to announce. We love Faith. We love the property. It’s really about how and when do you bring it back? It’s on the list. It’s just about looking at what teams are available, who’s got the right quality approach to it, and who understands it.”
There have been many hints and rumors to the development of Mirror’s Edge 2, and in 2009 Patrick Soderlund of EA told VideoGamer that a “small team” was already working on Mirror’s Edge 2. During E3 2011, Gibeau hinted at a sequel that was possibly under development using DICE’s Frostbit 2 engine. Later that same year, DICE’s Karl-Magnus Troedsson implied that the success of Battlefield 3 could increase the chances of the ME2 sequal stating that “part of our strategy moving forward as a studio [is] that we don’t just want to build Battlefield.”
Could we anticipate a special version for the Wii-U? If so, I’d like to see how the implement the special tablet features for the game. It has been four years since the phenomenal free-runner game was released, and it’s about damn time we got wind of a sequel.

God yes. Please let this happen. Please please please.
